Inline Fanout Control (IFC) monitors and regulates the stretch of the paper web – inline and fully automatically. This results in unique registration accuracy across the entire web width and saves paper. IFC measures the fanout effect using additional color register marks distributed across the web width. A unique feature is the non-contact image controllers, which, unlike other systems, are located on both sides of the paper web. This not only lifts the paper web, but also generates a defined sine wave of the paper before the nip. This enables precise correction of the paper web width over a wide control range. IFC is available for newspaper and commercial printing presses. For the latter, automatic diagonal register control is available as an optional add-on.
